Billy Preston died of complications of malignant hypertension that resulted in kidney failure and other complications.
He had been in a coma since the 21st November 2005.
His funeral was held on the 20th of June at the Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, California.
He was interred at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, California.
