D.J. Rogers is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist.

D.J. is best known for the ballad ‘Say You Love Me’.

DeWayne Julius Rogers began singing and playing piano in church in Los Angeles.

He signed with RCA Records, releasing ‘It's Good to Be Alive’.

‘Say You Love Me’ reached number 51 R&B on the Billboard Chart.

The song has been covered, over the years, by Natalie Cole and Jennifer Holliday.

D.J. began working with composer/keyboardist/arranger and producer Jerry Peters.

He released ‘Let Your Life Shine’ which reached number 78 R&B in 1976.

The song featured on his 1976 ‘On the Road Again’ LP.

D.J. then signed to the Total Experience Records imprint., releasing ‘Love, Music & Life’ in 1977.

He switched labels again, signing with Columbia Records.

In 1980, he released the album ‘The Message Is Still The Same’.

That year, D.J. duetted with Patrice Rushen on “’Givin' It up Is Givin' Up’ from her album ‘Pizzaazz’.

During the latter part of the Eighties, D.J. worked on Gospel material.
