The group were formed at Central High School, Detroit in 1950, and comprised of:

Nolan Strong (b. 22nd January 1934, Scottsboro, Jackson County, Alabama, U.S.A., d. 21st February 1977, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.) (lead)

Juan Guitierriez (tenor)

Willie Hunter (baritone) (b. Willie Chastain Hunter, 24th March 1936, U.S.A. d. April 1978, U.S.A.)

Quentin Eubanks (bass)

and

Bob 'Chico' Edwards (guitarist) (b. 12th June 1937, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. d. 11th March 2001, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.)

Doo-wop vocal group best known for its hit songs 'The Wind', 'The Way You Dog Me Round', 'Adios My Desert Love' and 'Mind Over Matter'.

When Nolan Strong passed away, a benefit concert at the Majestic Theater in Detroit helped pay for his tombstone.
