The Flamingos were an R & B vocal group, formed, in 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.

The group comprised, at various times, of:

Zeke Carey (b. Ezekiel Carey, 24th January 1933, Bluefield, Virginia, U.S.A. d. 24th December 1999, Washington, District of Columbia, U.S.A.)

Jake Carey (b. Jacob Carey, 9th September 1926, Pulaski, Virginia, U.S.A. d. 10th December 1997, Lanham, Maryland, U.S.A.)

Paul David Wilson (b. 6th January 1935, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A., d. 15th May 1988, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.)

Johnny Carter (b. John Edward Carter, 2nd June 1934, Chicago, U.S.A. d. 20th August 2009, Harvey, Illinois, U.S.A.)

Terry 'Buzzy' Johnson (b. Isaiah Johnson, 12th November 1935, Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A.)

Tommy Hunt (b. Charles James Hunt, 18th June 1933, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.)

and

Nate Nelson (b. 10th April 1932, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. d. 10th April 1984, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.)

The Flamingos were a doo wop group, popular in the mid to late 1950's.

They were best known for their 1959 cover version of 'I Only Have Eyes for You'.

They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
