Rufus were an American R&B band from Chicago, Illinois.
The group helped bring, lead singer Chaka Khan, to the attention of a wider public.
Their hits include 'Tell Me Something Good' (number three on the Billboard Hot 100), 'Once You Get Started', 'Stop On By', 'Sweet Thing', 'You Got The Love', 'Do You Love What You Feel', 'Hollywood' and 'Ain't Nobody' (number one on the U.S. R&B chart and 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart).
In 1983, Rufus went their separate ways.
Chaka Khan continued her successful solo career.
