Vernon Darrell Burch is an R&B/soul singer and guitarist, who hails from Washington D.C.

At the age of 13, he was recruited to the ranks of the Delfonics, with whom he spent two years as a guitarist.

Vernon later played with the Stairsteps, and then with the Bar-Kays for a four year period.

In 1975, he signed to United Artists, where he released his debut album, ‘I’ll Be Your Sunshine’.

Between 1975 and 1982, Vernon released six albums for the United Artists, Columbia, Chocolate City and Spector imprints.

During this era, Vernon released the singles ‘Changes (Messin' with My Mind)’ (in 1975) and ‘Do It to Me’ (in 1981), both of which took him into the R&B Top 20.
