Cat Miller

Cat Miller is a singer who was born in North Carolina.

Cat took her vocal training from her local church choir before joining the group Chanson in 1979.

Later she sang with the group Carnival.

She then toured with The Brothers Johnson and War as a solo artist.

One the touring was complete, Cat put together her own show and went on tour as a solo artist in her own right.

As a session singer she has worked with Stacy Lattisaw, Hiroshima and scored a solo deal with Solar Records after originally auditioning to be Jody Watley's replacement in Shalamar.

A solo single 'Ready Or Not' was released by ARS Records in Belgium (1985).

At Solar, Cat released her only album to date in 1986, entitled 'Cat'.

The album included the highly sought after 'Be For Real', which had a similar feel to the Deniece Willams tune 'Free'.

Also on the album was her version of the Marvin Gaye tune, 'I Want You', which was produced by the original songwriter, Leon Ware.

The album, also, featured artistic in put from L.A. Reid, Babyface, Atilla Zane Giles, Greg Perry, The Deele, Phyliss St. James, The Whispers, Dee Dee Warwick, Edna Wright, Jim Gilstrap, Siedah Garrett, Penny Ford and Jeff Lorber!
